Softline Pastel nominated
Voted into the finals of Contact Centre World Awards
We are pleased to announce that Softline Pastel, South Africa's foremost and leading developer of business and accounting software (such as Quickbooks and Pastel Payroll) have made it to the finals of the Contact Centre World Awards. These are run by ContactCentreWorld.com; the magazine for those who are in the business of global conferencing and research. A total of 40 countries have submitted a total of one thousand entries and Pastels call centre has been nominated for three top categories. This includes: the very best in customer service, help desk and community spirit. Pastel is a lock to win, as they have previously won in all of these categories.
The very best in the industry are benchmarked and the judges will need to carefully consider management strategies; these will then be weighed against the personal achievements that the staff of the call centre has attained. Tamsin Bradford, the support manager for Pastel stated that the contact centre receives in excess of 80,000 calls per month. It is also further stated that each member of the contact centre strives their best to resolve each callers issue - advanced tactics are used.
Ongoing training, as well as rigorous assessments is part of Pastel’s best-practice methods. Highly specialised teams that are focused on each individual product are created to ensure that even the hardest of problems are solvable. Advanced technologies are invested in and it is the recruitment polices that both reward the member of staff and attract new member to their fold. Pastel rewards an investment that is put in by their call-centre agents and welcomes those who wishes to make a career from their profession; part-timers are not as welcome. The support centre is a focused arena, with QA programs that factor in the direct feedback from clients.
Bradford ends by saying, "Competitions like the Contact Centre World Awards allow us to benchmark ourselves against the strongest local and international players. Making it to the finals not only confirms that our current strategy is the right one but also provides us with great insight into the industry, ensuring that we find those future trends that will ensure remain world class."
